Renewing was easy enough, honestly. The billing was clear, and I didn’t run into any issues at all.

I had a problem with my order/subscription and, i was already expecting it to turn into a whole thing. You know how it goes sometimes, you reach out and then just wait and wait.

I emailed Our State, and they actually got back to me quickly, quicker than I thought they would. The person who replied was friendly and seemed like they actually read my message, not just some canned copy-and-paste response.

Everything was fixed in about a day, and I didn’t have to keep following up over and over. It was just handled, which I really appreciated. Happy with the way they took care of it

Ordered from Our State and didn’t expect it that quick. Package came in a few days, packed fine, tracking worked the whole time. No complaints, happy with it and I’d order again.

I enjoyed these stories overall. They give you a good feel for North Carolina, and if you read between the lines, you can pick up on a lot of the local character and history behind them. A few of the pieces felt a little too short, like they ended just when I was getting into them, but they were still pleasant reads.

I enjoyed browsing ourstate.com. They’ve got a nice mix of North Carolina-themed items, from books and food gifts to home stuff, and the whole process was really easy. I found a few gifts quickly without having to dig around too much.

The only reason I’d give it 4 stars is that a couple of things I was hoping to grab were either out of stock or not available. Still, there’s a good selection overall, and I’d definitely check back again

I’ve looked through a fair amount of photo-heavy sites, and compared to some of those, ourstate.com has a few really beautiful shots, especially the nature photos. Some of them look great. That said, a couple felt a bit too dark or not as sharp as I expected. Overall, I’d say the photos are nice, but the quality isn’t always consistent...

I changed my address on ourstate.com, and it did end up going through, so that was good. At first though, I was kind of sitting there like, "Did that actually work or am I missing something?" It wasn’t super clear right away, so I checked back a couple of times just to make sure. Not a bad experience overall, just a little slower and less obvious than I expected

Since I was expecting it to save us time, it was kind of frustrating that we ended up having to call the place directly anyway. The site looks good overall, but for actual trip planning, I wouldn’t fully rely on it.

Logging in and managing my account has been easy overall, so no complaints there. I just wish the billing details were clearer because it’s a little frustrating trying to figure out what I’m being charged for. If that doesn’t improve, I might start looking at other options...

I’ve really enjoyed Our State. It doesn’t feel like one of those generic travel sites throwing together the same few places everyone already knows. There’s a real North Carolina feel to it, like the people writing it have actually spent time here. I’ve come across small towns and food spots I somehow missed, even after living here for years. The stories are easy to read and have this cozy, familiar feel. It’s a nice site to browse when I’ve got a little free time or when I’m quietly looking for an excuse to take a weekend drive

The package showed up safe and looked neat overall. There was a tiny dent on the box, which was a little annoying because I just wanted to open it and not worry about anything, but everything inside was totally fine

I ordered from Our State, even though I’ll admit I usually stick with another site I’ve used for years. The checkout was simple enough, though, and the cart was easy to find. I also liked being able to look everything over before actually paying.

The only reason I’d give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the page slowed down a bit when I got to the payment step. For a second I wasn’t totally sure if my order had gone through, which made me a little nervous.
That said, the confirmation email showed up right away, so it all worked out fine. I’m still a little loyal to my usual brand, but this was a good experience overall and I’d probably order from them again

The tracking was decent, and everything arrived in good condition. So yeah, I’m happy with it, just not quite perfect.

I figured the return and refund process would be quick, but it ended up taking much longer than I expected. The return itself felt slow, and overall it just wasn’t a great experience

I got a gift subscription for my mom, mostly because she’s hard to shop for and I figured a magazine is safer than another scarf or something. Anyway, once it finally showed up, she was happy with it and actually likes the magazine, so overall it worked out. Not a bad experience, just feels like the timing and delivery updates could be a bit smoother.

I signed up for Our State last year, and for the yearly price, I’ve felt like it’s been a solid deal. It’s nice having something local to flip through that isn’t just the usual news cycle, and there’s usually at least a few stories or features I end up really enjoying.

Some issues definitely grab me more than others, so I do hope they keep the quality consistent. If it starts feeling repetitive or the value drops, I’d probably let it go, but for now I’m leaning toward renewing.

I don’t know, it just feels like a really nice print magazine the moment you pick it up. The paper has a good weight to it, the photos are clear, and my gut says it’s one of those magazines that’s actually worth sitting down with. I always enjoy flipping through it.
